WANTED: EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, VIRGINIA MEDIATION NETWORK

Are you a detail-oriented professional with a passion for mediation and supporting a mission-driven organization? The Virginia Mediation Network is seeking an experienced Executive Director to join our team on a remote part-time basis, leading to full time with added responsibilities. 

Position: VMN Executive Director
Position Type: Employee.  Remote.
Hours: 20 hours per week (flexible schedule, with possible opportunity to increase to 40 hours per week).
Compensation: $30,000 annually to start.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Managing daily operations and administrative tasks to support our network of mediators
  • Coordinating and communicating with members and stakeholders
  • Maintaining membership databases and website content
  • Assisting with event planning, member engagement, and resource sharing
  • Fundraising
  • Working effectively in your remote setting, with the exception of minimal in-person responsibilities that would include a 2-day conference in September and perhaps a 1 full-day Board planning meeting.  

Qualifications:

  • Strong administrative, organizational, and communication skills
  • Proficiency in digital tools and platforms (e.g., Wild Apricot, Databases, Microsoft Office, email marketing tools)
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently
  • Background in mediation or nonprofit work is a plus
  • Background in fundraising is a plus
